Re: Zero − Starting Life in Another World has two seasons. Season 1 has 25 episodes. Season 2 has two parts, part 1 has 13 and part 2 has 12 episodes. Other than that, there are many ova's, special episodes, and director's cuts.

Should I watch Re: Zero directors cut or the original?
If you are going to watch season 1 then I definitely recommend you to go with the director cut. In this case, you can skip the original. The director's cut has minor scenes but they are making sense and revealing some untold truth.
Do I need to watch the Re: Zero Movies?
If you want to follow the watch order and actual storyline then I recommend you watch Movies. This series only has two movies so it's not a big deal to watch. I guess it might only take 2 hours to complete both movies.
